HI, I'M PEYTON!
I am the creator of The Social Emotional Teacher, LLC. I'm also the author of Growth Mindset Workbook for Kids.
My mission is to help teacher nurture and empower their students through SEL with engaging and easy to implement resources. I have been fascinated with social emotional learning and its many positive benefits since I first began teaching in 2014. Since 2019, I have been running my business, The Social Emotional Teacher, full-time.
I often find myself in a rabbit hole of research, strategies, success stories, and pretty much anything related to SEL. I've read countless books by professionals in education, psychology, mental health, neuroscience and more. On a more official level, I completed coursework through Fresno Pacific University to earn certification in Social Emotional Learning. I also completed a certification program through The University of Colorado Boulder online in The Teacher's Social and Emotional Learning.
